About Me
Hello, I'm Twilah Winters, your dedicated guide to inner peace and personal growth. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-BACS), I bring over fourteen years of experience in helping individuals navigate life's challenges.
My journey in mental health started at Holy Cross University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Counseling, and continued at Southern University at New Orleans where I completed my Masters of Social Work. Since then, I have had the privilege of working in diverse settings, from school districts and psychiatric inpatient and outpatient centers to alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities.
I'm a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the Louisiana Association of Social Workers (NASWLA), and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). As part of my holistic approach, I strive to understand you as a unique individual. Whether you're struggling with anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, or trauma, my goal is to help you connect the dots in your life and achieve the change you envision.
My philosophy is simple: I meet you where you are. There's no judgment in my practice, only understanding and a helping hand. If you're unsure about where you want to go, don't worry - together, we'll chart a course for a more peaceful, fulfilling future.
In addition to my therapeutic services, I also offer clinical supervision to LMSWs looking to further their professional growth or become a LCSW. As a mentor and supervisor, I aim to provide the same warmth, empathy, and expertise that I bring to my therapy sessions.
With me, you're not just getting a therapist - you're gaining a partner in your mental health journey. Let's move forward together towards a future filled with newfound strength, resilience, and clarity."
